MIKE'SCusoy Mike Herron EPAINT & BODY and his team at Mike's Custom Paint and Body has proudly served the North Texas and Southeast Oklahoma area for the last 40-plus years. In 1975, Mike operated a part-time body shop in his garage while working a full-time job. After more than a decade passed, his part-time body shop grew into a full-time business as Mike's Custom Paint and Body was established officially in 1986. "We started with a bam beside my house to our latest and largest location at 1310 North Main, and we are continuously growing and updating to better servo our customers," he said. The experienced staff at Mike's strives to help their customers through every step of the process of varying car troubles, such as collision repair and custom painting details. The company is fully committed to taking care of both vehicles and its customers. Mike's works hard to ensure its customers are back in their cars and on the road as soon as possible and can provide assistance in many areas, such as dealing with insurance companies and arranging rental vehicle options. Mike's Custom Paint and Body is a family-owned and operated business. Mike and his wife, Vanessa, are Paris natives, and Vanessa has worked as a registered nurse at Paris Regional Medical Center for more than 40 years. Mike has four children -- Lisa Moore, Mike Jr., Jesse, and Ashley, and three of them work at the shop. As the company's estimator, Mike Jr. will assess the damages to a customer's vehicle, provide details on what to expect during the vehicle's repair, and communicate with the insurance company involved in the respective claim. Ashley works as the front office receptionist. She takes care of customers while they wait and also helps with creative marketing and advertising. Finally, Mike's youngest son and award-winning painter, lesse, takes care of painting all of the vehicles at Mike's to eliminate any reminders of any damage done to the cars. A Rotary Club Member, Mike was recently named Rotarian of the Year of the Rotary District, which includes 30 area clubs. He is also a recipient of the Lamar County Small Business Person of the Year and was twice a winner of the Paul Harris Fellow award. Mike is also a Denver Pyle Children's Charities board director. During his free time, he enjoys competitive fishing on the FLW circuit.
