Paris Church of God CHURCH OF GOD The Paris Church of God, 1400 Bonham Street, was organized in 1917 with ten members. It was the fifth Church of God established in Texas and it will celebrate it's 103rd Anniversary on Sunday, October 4, 2020. The first location of Paris Church of God was a tabernacle style building located at 10 S. Twelfth Street. An updated frame building was erected in 1946 on Bonham Street and removed in 1966 when new brick facilities were built. Several additions have been added as the church has grown. The present sanctuary was built in 1980 and a new Family Center facility was added in 2000. The present sanctuary and education wings were remodeled in 2017. Presently serving the church are: D.L. Holt - Lead Pastor; Aaron Routon - Student Ministries; Carolyn Bell - Children's Director; Sarah Spencer - Children's Event Planner, Sandy Holt - Music Minister; Deborah Head - Administrative Assistant; Paula Cantrell - Business Secretary; Sally Smith - Prayer Chain; Chace Holt - Custodial Care; Monte Adams - Creative Media Specialist; Sharon Blackshear - Outreach Ministries Director, Shirley Spencer - Inreach C.A.R.E. Ministries. The church has a number of faithful teachers, musicians, singers, committee workers and prayer partners. We have Sunday School Classes for all ages.
