Their employees have a combined experience level of over 600 years in the lumber and building industry, enabling them to assist their customers with all Paris Lumber and Building Center has a proud past and a bright future. Bob McCarley came to Paris from Dallas to manage Temple Lumber Company in- 1961. In 1962, the name changed to Great Texas Lumber Company In 1966, Temple sold to a group from Minnesota called N.B.C (National Building Center). Bob and Florence McCarley bought the company in 1967 from N.B.C. and changed the name of the business to Paris Lumber Company. The business continued to grow as construction was on the rise in Lamar County. By 1978, Paris Lumber Company had outgrown the downtown location and a new, modern lumber 52 1967 YEARS 2018 IN Paris, Texas their special projects Florence McCarley remains the Owner and Kyle McCarley is President/General Manager of the operation, along with his wife Pam, and their son, Andrew McCarley, who is currently working in Contractor Sales. The McCarley family would like to extend their appreciation to all of the customers who shop at Paris Lumber. Kyle and Pam enjoy spending time with their children, Lucas, Meagan, Andrew, and Lauren, as well as their grandchildren, Barrett McCarley, Violet Gain and building material center was built at the corner of Pine Mill Road and Loop 286. It is situated on about seven acres, with approximately 125,000 square feet of buildings, showrooms, and storage. The name was amended to Paris Lumber and Noel Gain, and Leona Johnson Building Center to reflect the new products and services Paris Lumber and Building Center is proud to be a Family-Owned Business, helping furnish 33 jobs to the community, keeping money circulating in the area, and giving back to the community in charitable donations. Our customers are the greatest people in the Nation and have made us feel welcome with their continued support and friendship. From where the customer is always The four year old building was demolished by the April 2, 1982 tornado that devastated Paris. Yet,. the business was closed for only one day and a sign was posted on what was left of the building which read, "Yes, We are Open". Paris Lumber and Building Center will celebrate 51 years of service to these areas this year.
